Mark Malcomson, head of City Lit, welcomed the around 100 participants. This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by broadcaster, economist and former MP Ed Balls. The historian Paul Weindling, the nursing scientist Helen Atherton, the playwright Stephen Unwin and the victim's relative Nancy Jennings investigated questions about the background of "Aktion T4", its processing, the memory of the murdered and the connections to current social discussions. This was followed by a performance by City Lit’s Percussion Orchestra and the Corali Dance Company, most of which are made up of people with learning disabilities. Simon Jarrett, a member of the exhibition project team, gave a short introduction to the content at the end.
