The museum is housed in Cmurek Castle (German: Obermureck) - directly on the border with Austria - where a psychiatric facility was located until 2004. An association has been dedicated to building the museum for years. Its theme is the treatment of mentally ill people in the course of history. The issue of reform and inclusion in today's world plays an important role in this. In addition, artistic works are presented and cultural events are held in the castle.
The focus of the visit was the exchange on questions of mediation and education in Hartheim and Trate. The cooperation is to be continued in Hartheim in the autumn.
