About us

The Documentation centre Hartheim is a branch office of the Upper-Austria-Regional-Archive. It is located in the 2nd upper floor in Hartheim-Castle.

The assignment of the Documentation centre is the collecting, the putting into archives and the placing of relevant material about the history of Hartheim-Castle as Euthanasia Institute from 1940 - 1945 at the public`s disposal. So, researches and investigations on the topic of Hartheim as an Euthanasia Institute are enabled to be done on the spot.

One essential task is the project "Memorial Book Hartheim". In progress of this project the naming of the people murdered in Hartheim is tried to enable the personal rememberance of the relatives.
